TELLICO HIGHLANDS

Overall this route was truly a blast with some of the best views I've seen so far with the routes published on TN gravel! My cycling weapon of choice was a Litespeed Ultimate G2 that I rocked with 43's that did me well as this route was fairly smooth compared to the other ITT's. I will say that if anyone is thinking of doing this route near the end of the season be prepared with proper cycling gloves for winter and leg warmers or long winter bibs as when I got onto the skyway I had a pleasant surprise of frost and snow haha. I actually enjoyed it as it made the experience that much more memorable. Although flying down to indian boundary made me second guess my fun thoughts of snow as I was turning into a block of ice. But nothing to worry about because the climb up far gap really thawed me out real well. At the end of the day I was stoked to check off another ITT this year and would recommend this route to anyone looking for a quality adventure with some of the best views the southeast has to offer!

For nutrition I had 1 turkey sandwich (in honor of thanksgiving weekend), 3 energy gu's, 2 skratch high carb drink mix, and 3 breakfast bars. I also opted to take my grayl water filter that takes up more space rather then my sawyer water filter as after my dirty 130 experience I had stomach issues I'm thinking came from poor water filtration.
